CoCreate: the facilitator's guide to collaborative projects
Based on the manual for the Victorian EPA's Neighbourhood Environment Improvement Program, this guide makes available to a wide audience a comprehensive methodology and tool set for facilitating multi-stakeholder projects that generate high levels of ownership (and hence action) by the participants. It's a 218 page (A5) book packed with practical techniques and tips.
The guide is designed specifically for sustainability and NRM facilitators. However the approach is universal and the guide will be equally useful for anyone working with the community for change, including health promotion officers, community safety officers, road safety officers, and hazard managers.

Do the training:

An intensive 2-day workshop in facilitating collaborative multi-stakeholder processes
Based on the CoCreate guide, this workshop will equip you with the skills, understandings and tools to facilitate diverse collaborators to come together, collectively analyse a problem, devise original solutions, implement them and learn from the results.
Processes include: visioning, partnering, problem identification and problem analysis (using program logic or 'theory of change') and evaluation.
It's a rigorous process geared to creating high levels of buy-in and hence a high probability that commitments will actually be carried out.
CoCreate is an intensive training program for a small group of 6-9 staff who have facilitation roles. It's dynamic and interactive, with role plays and plenty of practice (after all, facilitation is best learnt by doing it!).
